  1. Bow Biennial Exhibition at the Whyte Museum

    October 21, 7:00 PM @ Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies

    The Whyte Museum's 2017 Bow Biennial features two exhibitions: On the Fringe of the Bow and Eastern Slopes Grizzly Bears: Each One is Sacred. On the Fringe of the Bow features a diverse and talented group of local artists whose art form, once considered subversive, is now on the fringe of mainstream society. The exhibition includes skateboard designs, tattoo art and three-dimensional chainmail constructions. Eastern Slopes Grizzly Bears: Each One is Sacred includes an exhibition that combines Colleen Campbell’s 20-year career as a field biologist in Banff National Park with her lengthy career as an artist.

  2. Fireside Chat with Eddie Hunter

    October 22, 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM @ Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies

    Eddie Hunter grew up in Banff in the 1930s and 40s where he experienced the pioneer era of skiing in the Canadian Rockies. He worked in the television and film industry and produced some classic ski films. Today at 90 years of age he still looks good on the slopes at Mount Norquay. A master story teller, Eddie will share tales of earlier days in Banff. The cost of this event is included with Museum Admission ($10 Adults, $9 Seniors, $4 Students & Locals).

  3. Bow Valley Naturalists Presentation

    The Bow Valley Naturalists have been active in learning about local ecosystems and advocating for their protection since 1967.     Join us for this annual family-friendly Halloween event, sponsored by the Banff Firefighters Association in partnership with the Town of Banff. Enjoy free hot dogs and hot chocolate by the bonfire and stick around for the fireworks at 8 p.m. Don't forget to wear your costumes! Walk down to the event and be sure to carry a flashlight and wear reflective clothing. Keep your pets at home if they are nervous around loud noises.
