Whyte Museum
Jane’s Walk honours the legacy and ideas of urban activist and writer Jane Jacobs by getting people out exploring their neighbourhoods and meeting their neighbours. The inaugural Jane’s Walk in Banff will take place on Thursday May 5th, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. To be part of this free event, meet in front of The Whyte Museum with your walking stick and warm jacket. We will meander by the Bow, talking about our town and our times. Our walk will finish back at The Whyte Museum in time to join in the celebration of “Community Builders”, the Banff Community Foundation’s annual spring reception.
Jane’s Walk, is hosted by the Banff Ideas Bank, Banff Community Foundation, Town of Banff, and Honorary Guides Dorothy Carleton and Rob Crosby. Tickets for the Foundation’s “Community Builders” event (4 – 6 pm) are available for purchase by phoning 403.762.8549
