| Snow Days carries on Banff's winter carnival tradition |
SnowDays
January 14 to February 12, 2012
Carrying on the 95-year tradition of a winter carnival in Banff, SnowDays is one fun month,celebrating all things winter. Activities include skating on the new outdoor rink at Banff Community High School, ice sculptures, a ball hockey tournament on Banff Avenue, Exposure outdoor photography exhibition, live theatre, learn to snowshoe or stargaze, and more. Popular returning events include Mountain Madness, Heritage Swim, Jon Whyte Spelling Bee and the Banff Lake Louise Loppet. Visit our calendar for all the activities, or Banff Lake Louise Tourism.
National Ballet of Cuba

One of the ten great ballet companies of the world, the Ballet Nacional de Cuba presents a program entitled The Magic of Dance, a virtuosic performance that showcases the company's amazing ability through excerpts from the world's most famous ballets. Experience one of the world's most legendary companies in its Canadian debut. Tickets on sale at the Banff Centre.
When Winter Was King

Part of SnowDays. Take a stunning look back at Banff’s history of winter festivals. Exposure 2012 will host two evenings of gigantic wall projections of historic winter festival photographs, in collaboration with the Whyte Museum, Glacier Holdings, the Town of Banff, Parks Canada and Banff Lake Louise Tourism. This outdoor event includes outdoor projections, commentary from Parks Canada, hot chocolate and cozy fires.
