Fireworks, December 31 at midnight
Join the festival atmosphere throughout downtown Banff on December 31 for fireworks starting at midnight. The fireworks are launched from the Parks Canada Administration grounds at the south end of Banff Avenue. They can be seen from most locations in Town, but the best views are from Banff Avenue or from Central Park.

The fireworks are made possible by the Town of Banff, Parks Canada, the Hotel Motel Association and Banff Lake Louise Tourism.

Family-friendly Winter Activities
There are also plenty of family-friendly winter activities to help usher in the New Year. There are several free outdoor skating venues (skates can be rented from a handful of shops in downtown Banff), free sledding and tobogganing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, cross-country skiing and more.
