For over three decades, the Banff World Media Festival has brought top leaders from across the evolving media landscape to the heart of the Canadian Rockies for a totally unique conference and networking opportunity. The highlight is the The Banff World Media Awards – affectionately known as the Rockies – internationally recognized awards program celebrating the very best in international television and digital media production.

The Festival is pleased to announce Emmy award-winning show runner Terence Winter will be featured in a masterclass at the 2012 festival. Currently, Winter is working with Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger on a new HBO series set in the world of rock music, circa 1977. CNN anchor and talk show host, Larry King will be receiving the Banff Lifetime Achievement Award, creator and executive producer of Two and a Half Men, Chuck Lorre will receive the Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy Award,
