Winter Festival

Lake Louise to Banff Ski Loppet & Relay team mates enjoy their moment of accomplishment

The Banff  Winter Festival offers ten days of winter fun and madness, late in January each year. The 2010 Winter Festival runs from January 22 - 31.

The annual Mountain Madness Relay (Friday Jan. 29) is a local favourite. Teams of five (downhill ski, run, ice skate, classic cross-country ski, and skate ski) race from the top of Mount Norquay to Banff's Central Park.

• Lake Louise to Banff Cross Country Ski Loppet & Relay
• Iron Chef Caesar Salad Competition - Balkan Restaurant
• the Jon Whyte Spelling Bee & Trivia Challenge at the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies
