Caesar Salad Iron Chef Challenge

The Balkan Restaurant and Banff Winter Festival once again present the Caesar Salad Iron Chef Challenge. The 2010 edition of this long-running garlic extravaganza takes place on Monday, January 25, 2010.

Do your friends or customers rave about your Caesar salad? Then maybe you have what it takes to win the coveted Caesar Salad Iron Chef title.

Pairs of competing chefs (maximum of 16 entries) go head-to-head, with 20 minutes to create the perfect caesar salad. Judges score each salad on a point system that evaluates:

• flavour
• preparation technique
• presentation
• consistency of dressing
• quality of ingredients
  

Bonus points are awarded for "Best Iron Chef Costume."
