Cardboard Sled Derby
Who has the sweetest sled of all?
Ski Norquay and the Banff Winter Festival present the 5th annual Cardboard Sled Derby.
Join the fun at Ski Norquay, 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. It's a weird, wacky and hilarious evening for the competitors, and a great spectator event too.
Participants of all ages are invited to construct a sled out of cardboard, tape, glue, string, garbage bags and paper only. Using any other material (ie: wood, metal, fibreglass, plastic, etc) leads to disqualification.
The Cardboard Sled Derby is all about style. Judges will rate each craft initially for originality, costumes and construction/design. Each sled must also complete one run to the bottom of the hill. In case of a tie for 1st place, there will be a sled-off. First sled to the bottom on the run will be declared the winner!
To enter, use the registration form and waiver below, or pick copies up at Community Services, Banff Town Hall (100 Bear St).
