Banff's Best
Heritage Orientation Program
- What's the tallest peak in Banff National Park?
- Where did Banff get its name?
- How do we balance tourism with human use?
- Name 10 things that visitors can see and do while in Banff
Banff's Best is a free two-hour, interactive program designed to entertain and inform local staff about some of the best things to know about Banff. It will help new residents to Banff discover how they can become a knowledgeable 'Local' and share the uniqueness of this place with visitors.
Learn about Banff's wildlife, discover its interesting history, be able to identify local landmarks, become aware of park rules and regulations, learn how to play and stay safe in the park, and discover what things there are to see and do in Banff in the winter and summer. Everyone who participates in the program will receive a certificate and a pin. Banff's Best is available in English, French and Japanese, and businesses can book free private programs for their staff.
Programs are scheduled for the third Thursday evening each month. Sessions take place in the Council Chambers of the Banff Town Hall (110 Bear Street). Check the town Activities & Events Calendar for the next available date.
The BanffLIFE Life in Banff staff orientation program immediately precedes each session of Banff's Best (from 6 – 6:50 p.m.).
