Building Occupancy Requirements
The following requirements shall be met prior to granting of an occupancy permit for all building types (except single-family dwellings and two-unit semi-detached dwellings):
- All required plumbing, gas & electrical permits have been obtained & permit numbers submitted to the Town of Banff.
- All engineering reports, schedules and other verifications have been submitted to the Town of Banff.
- All deficiencies noted on the final inspection report have been corrected.
The following requirement shall be met prior to issuance of an occupancy permit for single-family dwellings and two-unit semi-detached dwellings:
- The owner, contractor or professional engineer has verified, in writing, that all deficiencies noted on the final inspection report have been corrected.
Please contact the Building Inspector at 403.762.1215 to arrange for final inspection, a minimum of 48 hours advance notice is required for all inspections.
Please note that the Building Inspector may ask that all or a portion of the work be exposed for inspection if that work has been covered prior to the pertinent inspection being conducted.
