    The first round of applications for the Ti'nu apartment complex will be accepted Tuesday, December 12, 2017 to Friday, January 12, 2018. Staff will be available at Banff Town Hall (110 Bear Street) in Council Chambers on Tuesday, December 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to take applications and answer any questions. You can still drop off applications anytime during business hours between December 12 and January 12 at the community services desk at Town Hall.

    Take your safety into your own hands. This course is essential for anyone venturing into the backcountry. Avalanches claim the lives of many every year. Be prepared and learn the basics of avalanche safety. Skills covered included using avalanche beacon and transceivers, assessing snow packs, route finding, and more. Day one will be classroom, day 2 in the field. Certificate will be issued at the end of the course. Cost includes: 2 days of instruction, books, use of safety and snow study equipment, and transportation to field location. An AST 1 certificate will be issued on successful completion.* You will need to bring adequate clothing and equipment for a backcountry ski tour (or snowshoes).
