On March 8, the YWCA Banff will present three extraordinary women leaders in our community with the 3rd annual Bow Valley Women of Distinction Awards. The awards recognize women who through their own initiative, ability and effort have made an exemplary achievement in their field, women who are outstanding role models because of their goals and the way they have achieved these goals, women who have made substantial contributions to the social fabric of their communities in unique and individual ways.

Urban poling, also known as Nordic walking, combines an upper body technique similar to cross-country skiing that gives you a full body workout. Participate in this low-impact activity with a trained urban poling guide. Equipment will be available for those who require it.

Everyone is welcome at drop-in public skating at The Fenlands. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. No sticks, pucks, figure skating jumps or spins. International certified helmets are required to be worn by all skaters 12 and under, and are highly recommended for all skaters. Scheduled times are subject to change without notice.

Clean indoor shoes, stretchy or loose-fitting pants, a warm jacket, and gloves. We have brooms, sliders and grippers on-hand.
