In Banff's early years, travelers came here to immerse themselves in the healing waters of the hot springs, and to take treatments for a huge variety of ailments at Dr. Brett's Grandview Villa. Nowadays, no one really thinks the hotsprings water is especially restorative, but the association of Banff with a healthy lifestyle and therapeutic treatments lives on in our abundance of medical facilities, health care practitioners, spas and fitness centres.
