Support and Crisis
Counseling services in our community include the Banff Mental Health Clinic, AIDS Bow Valley, Bow Valley Victim Services Association, Alcoholics Anonymous, and the Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission.
The Calgary and Area Child and Family Services Authority offers a wide range of services focused on family enhancement, child protective services and prevention of family violence.
H2HC Outreach (Homeless to Housing Coalition) provides support services to individuals experiencing homelessness and/or at risk of becoming homeless.
Travelling: A Story of Friendship, Life, Suicide and Loss, is a suicide prevention workshop that uses local storyteller Mandi Kujawa's real suicide stories that affected her, with facilitated debrief by counsellors. It is delivered as part of the school CALM (Career And Life Management) curriculum.
