No Net Negative Environmental Impact

The Town has initiated a number of programs to help identify, manage or monitor its impact on the natural environment.Our goal is no net negative impact, that is working together to ensure that wildlife, plants, water, air, soil and the processes that connect them will be better off or no worse tomorrow than they are today. The cumulative impact of development decisions on the ecological well being of the Town of Banff will be positive, not negative.

No Net Negative Environmental Impact (3NEI) is a commitment by the Minister of Canadian Heritage to ensure through a variety of tools that Canada's National Parks are preserved for future generations, unimpaired.
