Peyto Place Condominium Project
The purpose of the Banff Housing Corporation is to help the Town of Banff maintain a healthy and balanced community. In the Fall of 2009 the Banff Housing Corporation entered into an agreement with the Whyte Foundation to acquire ten apartment style units in Peyto Place (above Nesters Market).
Peyto Place is a condominium project comprised of fourteen apartments of which the BHC acquired ten units. There are currently eight apartment style units which will be sold through the Banff Housing Corporation’s (BHC) Peyto Place application process (the BHC has entered into sales agreements with two existing tenants and the remaining four units and the commercial space will be held by The Whyte Foundation).
- Through the use of provincial and BHC subsidies the final price of these units will be below market.
- The re-sale of these units will be bound to a price restriction of a maximum of two per cent (2%) growth per annum, compounded annually.
*Application deadline: Thursday September 2, 2010 at 4:30 p.m.
Page 7 & 8 of the application must be returned to the front desk of Town Hall along with a $50 non refundable application fee. Payment must be made in cash or cheque only and cheques are to made payable to the Banff Housing Corporation.
Those currently on the BHC Resale List must submit a Peyto Place application if interested in purchasing these units.
A list of Petyo Place applicants and their points has been posted. Points may be appealed. Appeals must be received in writing no later than September 13, 2010. Final points will be posted September 14, 2010.
