Fares, Tokens, Monthly Passes

Whether you’re visiting the sights or commuting to work, catch a ride on one of Banff's environment-friendly hybrid buses for a fun, convenient and inexpensive way to get around town. Jump aboard and enjoy the views!

Fare boxes on our Roam buses accept US and Canadian currency as small as a nickel, and up to $20. Pennies are not accepted. Please note that the fare boxes can't provide change, so exact change is preferred. If necessary, the fare box will produce a change voucher that you can redeem at Banff Town Hall and a number of other downtown locations.

Refillable Monthly Passes are a convenient way to ride the Roam buses in Banff

Roam Fares

Single trip fares are $2 for adults (13 and up), $1 for seniors (65+) and children 6 to 12. Children under 6 ride for free. A Day Pass is also available for just $5, providing unlimited ridership for that day.

A 3-day pass for $12 is available for purchase at Town Hall.

Roam For Less

Frequent riders can save by using one-way tokens. Each token covers a single trip fare. You can keep your tokens on hand for use whenever you need them.

Monthly Passes decorated with colorful wildlife graphics are available for one-, three- and six-month periods. You can refill your card at a discount when it expires. For more information on monthly passes, call 403.762.1210.

Where to Pick up Tokens and Passes

You can pick up tokens and monthly passes at Banff Town Hall, located at 110 Bear Street.

Day Passes and single trip fares can be bought on the bus.

Transfers

Transfers are free between routes and valid for one hour after purchase. Your receipt will be required to transfer to the next bus. Please keep it in a safe place.

All rates are in Canadian funds. Transit fares are GST exempt.
