"For one painful hour I had sweated my way up the steep avalanche slope near Saskatchewan Crossing along the Icefields Parkway. My big telephoto lens felt like a thousand kilograms in my backpack. 

"When I finally reached the little rock ledge and walked in amongst the small herd of mountain goats that were feeding there, the sweat seemed worth it.

"I really do think most of the mountain goats were peering at me wondering: What is he doing up here?!"
