"For one painful hour I had sweated my way up the steep avalanche slope near Saskatchewan Crossing along the Icefields Parkway. My big telephoto lens felt like a thousand kilograms in my backpack.

When I finally reached the little rock ledge and walked in amongst the small herd of mountain goats that were feeding there, the sweat seemed worth it.

I really do think most of the mountain goats were peering at me wondering: What is he doing up here?!"
