Kids and Parents skate time at Banff Recreation Centre

The Banff Recreation Centre is our hockey and skating hub.  As the town's only indoor winter ice facility, this is a vibrant space from September through March.

We are presently in the midst of a major re-construction and expansion project which has resulted in the temporary suspension of curling for the 2009 - 2010 season as well as the suspension of summer hockey school programming and lounge and dry floor space provision.  Visit Recreation Centre Project for project details.

One ice surface (185' x 85') is available September 2009 - April 2010 with limited and temporary dressing room and public washroom amenities.

Public Skating and Shinny begins Tuesday, October 13, 2009.

Public Skating Schedule  

Tuesday	11:45 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Wednesday	11:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
Friday	1:15 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Shinny Schedule       

Monday	Noon - 1:15 p.m.
Wednesday	1:30 - 3 p.m.
Friday	11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

(Only cash is accepted at the Recreation Centre)

Senior drop-in	$2
Child drop-in (18 and under)	$2
Adult ten-punch card	$35

(punch cards can be purchased by Debit, Visa and Master Card at Town Hall)

Please note: Shinny hockey requires full hockey equipment. We are unable to rent skates at the Recreation Centre this season. Please call Snowtips/Backtrax at 403.762.8177 or the Banff Springs Ski & Mountain Sports 403.762.5333 for skate rentals.
