…which can be the result of identifying a community need, a gap in services, or seeing a call for grants. Whatever the reason, non-profits often find themselves seeking external funding.Provincial Funders
Some of the key funding sources available provincially include:Alberta Culture and Community Spirit
- Community Initiatives Program (CIP)- supports not-for-profit organizations by providing funds to enhance and enrich project-based initiatives throughout Alberta. Supports initiatives such as community services, seniors services, libraries, arts and culture, sports, educations, health and recreation.
- Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP)- assists Alberta’s municipalities and not-for-profit organizations with the costs of planning, upgrading and developing a wide range of community-use facilities and places which enhance community life and citizen well-being.
- Community Spirit Program- Donation Grant- an opportunity for eligible non-profit and/or charitable organizations to receive a provincial grant based on total annual cash donations from individuals Albertans. The grant can be used to support an organization’s operations, programs and/or capital projects.
