Settlement Services
Please take our survey and help us determine your needs. See below.
Settlement Services in the Bow Valley, a program through the Town of Banff, is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and is a support program for newcomers to Canada living throughout the Bow Valley. We work to assist with the successful integration of newcomers to Canada into the community. Our Settlement Services will work with you to identify your settlement goals, and help you use your strengths and resources to determine your settlement needs. These workers are happy to help with all integration needs, such as:
- Orientation and on-going support for you and your child within the school
- Support with Housing
- Assistance with renewal of Permanent Resident Cards
- Support with applications for citizenship
- Citizenship exam preparation
- Information on and referral to English language Ttraining
- And any other needs you have as they arise
Why is this important?
- Our team is here to support the integration into all aspects of community life - economically, socially, and culturally.
- Information is power, and having the knowledge of local resources and programs will enable you to move towards achieving your individual and family goals.
Where is the program located?
- Our office is located in the Town of Banff’s Family and Community Support Services department.
- We support the entire Bow Valley region and do outreach to meet and support you in your community.
