Top Tips

1. Landscape with native plants, trees, and shrubs that require little water.

2. Water lawns only when necessary, and in the early morning to prevent evaporation.
3. Replace your toilets with dual flow models.
4. Replace your faucets and shower heads with low flow models.

5. Test for leaks in all of your fixtures, and repair them right away.

6. Only run dishwashers and washing machines (preferably frontloading / 'suds-savers') when you have a full load.
   
7. Wash your vegetables and toothbrush in partially filled sinks instead allowing the tap to run continuously.
8. Chill drinking water in the refrigerator instead of running the tap.
9. Consider waterless urinals, greywater recycling, rainwater collection, and whether you really need to flush the toilet.
