Water and Sewer Bill Payments
Water and sewer charges are based on water consumption registered by the meter in your home or business.Water & sewer utility bills are mailed four times a year. Meters are read at regular intervals for each billing period.
Senior citizens are eligible for a reduction on their utility bills. Please request your seniors' discount application when paying your bill.
How do I pay my utilities bill?
Water and sewer bills must be paid by the due date indicated on the bottom of the bill. Payment can be made:- By pre-authorized payment:
You can sign up to have your utility payments automatically debited from your bank account. Print the application below (note: if you want to save it, please save it before you fill it out), then send it by mail or drop it off in person at Banff Town Hall.

Banff, Alberta T1L 1A1Do not send cash in the mail. Record your account number or property address on the cheque, and enclose the top portion of the bill. Post-dated cheques are accepted, however, the cheque must be dated no later than the due date. Your payment must be postmarked on or before the due date to avoid late payment charges.

Please bring your bill with you. Credit cards are not accepted for utility payments. You can also use our drop box outside the Town Hall: include the top portion of your bill and your cheque. Do not place cash in the drop box.
- Telephone/On-line Banking: If you are registered with your bank for payment services, you can pay your utilities bill through most chartered banks telephone, on-line and ATM banking services.
What if my payment is late?
Penalty charges of 1.5% per month are charged on all overdue accounts.
If there is payment owing on your account, any payment will be applied first to the penalties, and then to current bill.
