It's ugly, it's costly to pick up, and it's illegal. Please dispose of your waste responsibly.

Please do not leave your unwanted items next to garbage bins. It’s ugly, it’s costly to pick up, and it can be hazardous to our fellow residents, our pets and our local wildlife.  And – it’s illegal. 

Check out the following options for getting rid of large items.

Call for Free Friday Pickup

Call 403.762.1240 to register for the Town’s free curbside pick-up of large unwanted items.  Please register by Monday for the Friday pick-up, if possible, so we can make sure adequate service is available.

Bring It to the Compound

You can drop large items off at our location in the industrial compound at 120 Hawk Avenue. Click on the link below to see the items we can accept.  Note that charges only apply to commercial and out-of-town drop offs – residential drop-offs are free.

Donate It

The Victory Thrift Store in Canmore picks up gently used furniture and houseware items every Thursday in Banff.  Call 403.678.9801 to schedule a pick-up.
