Streets & Parking
The Town of Banff maintains approximately 45 kilometers of roadways. Our streets crews sweep in early spring once the snow has melted, rebuild and repave in summer and snowclear through the winter.Experiencing a problem with Banff's streets? Use our action request form to alert us.
Streetlights and Stoplights
We have 550 street lights and nine intersections with stoplights. Most repairs are performed by Fortis Alberta. Report a street light that's not working, using our interactive map.Streetlight Issues Reporting Map
Please be aware that it can take up to a month for a lamp to be repaired.
Please contact Town of Banff Operations at 403.762.1240 to report non working traffic control signals.
Parking
Parking in Banff is at a premium, particularly downtown, and for larger vehicles like motorcoach buses and recreational vehicles (RVs). Residents' best bet to avoid frustration and delays is to take the road less travelled - leave your vehicle at home at walk, Roam or bike around town.
Visitors, check our interactive maps for parking locations.
Watch where and how long you park.Tickets are issued for all infractions, including over-limits, using handicapped parking stalls without proper identification and parking RVs and motorcoaches (motorhomes, campervans, etc.) in non-designated areas.
