Tour Bus Regulations & Parking

Regulations

Commercial buses must observe the following:

• No parking on any Banff street except in designated bus zones
• Bus zones are limited to 15-minute loading/unloading
• No stopping in transit zones
• No idling while at a standstill
• Use designated bus routes only

Commercial Tour Bus Parking

Bus tours play a vital role in Banff tourism. Fifteen-minute loading/unloading zones for tour buses are provided adjacent to most hotels. Two-hour bus parking is available downtown at the lot behind the Mount Royal Hotel.

Idle Free Banff

As per the Traffic Bylaw 16-6-40 ( PDF - 395 kb), idling of Commercial Vehicles is not permitted within the Town of Banff.
