Cave Avenue Reconstruction

Cave Avenue renewal will be undertaken in conjunction with Parks Canada's renewal of the Cave and Basin Historic Site, which is underway in 2011 and 2012.

Reconstruction includes a sidewalk, bike path and parking bays in addition to a new roadway surface. In addition, to the surface works, we are proposing upgrades to the underground water, sanitary and storm drainage systems, and possible undergrounding of electrical. Project scope was determined through public input sessions held in 2009.

The Cave Avenue project is set to begin in 2013.
