This may include:
- road, lane or sidewalk closures
- placement or parking of any building materials, tools or machinery
- parking of any vehicle for longer than the posted limit
- loading or unloading material, machinery, or equipment
- construction or excavation on a public space
Application form
Download the form, or pick up at Town Hall. Return applications to Town Hall or fax to 403.762.1260.

Application Process
- Corresponding maps or sketches noting closures, signage, etc. must be included with the completed application form
- A minimum of 2 business days is required for application review
- If a complete road closure is required, if regulatory signage is to be moved, removed or modified by ToB employees, or if notification of adjacent properties is required, please allow 14 business days for application review
- Permit must be picked up, signed and any applicable fees paid before work can begin
Additional Requirements
- The permit holder is responsible for providing any detour or temporary traffic control signage, or flagpersons required. Securing the area or parking stalls will also be the responsibility of the applicant.
- The permit holder agrees to to indemnify the Town of Banff against any and all claims for damage or injury.
- The permit holder shall provide proof of insurance upon request.
- The permit holder must agree to and abide by all terms and conditions noted on the application form.
