Nick Hansen poses in front of Banff Town Hall with his new Electra Town Bike |
Nick Hansen is the winner of the top prize awarded in our Search Is On website launch contest.
Mr. Hansen is a relatively new member of our community, recently arrived in Banff and working at Ski Norquay. Nick may find it easier to get around town now, on his spiffy new Electra town bike.
The Search Is On contest attracted hundreds of entries during the 2 weeks following the launch of the new Town of Banff website on January 17, 2007. Site visitors were asked to find 5 iconic images of Banff sprinkled around the pages of the site, following a trail of clues. Correct entries were entered in a random draw for prizes.
Two other Banff residents won major prizes in the contest. Sally Plunkett is looking forward to a romantic dinner for two at the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel, along with a luxurious room for the night. And Wendy Reinson will have a fight on her hands to keep her children from snagging her shiny new iPod Nano.
Copies of Summerthought's Canadian Rockies Trail Guide went to Amy Wassenaar of Windermere, Ontario; Beth Hilman of Sylvan Lake, Alberta; and Alvina Janssen of Edmonton.
Winners of Banff Ice passes for skate time at the Banff Recreation Centre go out to Colin Phillips, Shane Bothwell and Yannis Karlos, all of Banff; and Ben West of Canmore.
