Traffic Bylaw Changes

Changes to Banff's Traffic Bylaw come into effect on February 12, 2007.

Some of the key changes include:

• to ensure parkers have more parking options, all surface parking lots with a three hour time limit will soon have a “no same-day returns” regulation
  

• to protect the environment and reduce emissions, commercial vehicles are not permitted to idle anywhere within the townsite
  

• for safety reasons unattached trailers may not be parked on any roadway or parking lot within the Town of Banff
  

To enhance our service to you:

• town of Banff Bylaw Services can now enforce unauthorized parking on private property under the new Traffic Bylaw
  

• you may submit complaints online concerning traffic and parking, as well as other bylaw issues and lost and found reports.
