The Town of Banff has announced the completion of Banff Refreshing and is celebrating the newly refreshed Banff Avenue with Banff Live, the biggest street party ever held in this mountain community, on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008.

The Town of Banff has unveiled Roam, a unique new public transit experience. The Town is the first municipality in Canada to launch an all-hybrid electric transit fleet. The buses look special too; they are wrapped in authentic Banff National Park Wildlife imagery with each bus featuring a backcountry view of grizzlies, elk, goats and wolves.

Mayor to attend international forum on tourism

Town of Banff Mayor John Stutz has been invited to attend the International Mayor's Forum on Tourism, April 10, 2008. Mayor Stutz, along with approximately 80 mayors from over 50 countries, will attend the Forum to be held in Zhengzhou, China.
Town asks residents for help getting unwanted items to landfill

In the past three years the Town of Banff spent $180,000 collecting and hauling unwanted waste left beside our neighborhood garbage bins to the Francis Cooke Landfill. This week, we are kicking off a three-month educational campaign to help eliminate this unsightly, hazardous and expensive issue.
Banff.ca exceeds goals one-year after launch

year after launch the Town of Banff is pleased to announce its website
at Banff.ca is exceeding expectations and outperforming goals set for
the site pre-launch in January, 2007. Site usage has increased by over
2000 per cent, and residents say the site is useful.
