Karen Percy named Vancouver 2010 community torchbearer for Banff

When the Olympic Flame arrives in Banff's Central Park January 20, 2010 it will be proudly carried by Karen Percy, nominated as our community torchbearer to light the celebration cauldron for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay.

Town of Banff wins FCM-CH2M Hill Sustainable Community Award

The Town of Banff has received a 2009 FCM-CH2M HILL Sustainable Community Award from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), winning recognition in the transportation category for its new hybrid bus system called Roam.

EPCOR now operating Town of Banff wastewater treatment plant

The Town of Banff is pleased to announce EPCOR is the new operator for the Town of Banff's wastewater treatment plant. EPCOR currently operates many wastewater plants in Southern Alberta and has the capacity to deliver a high standard of service and proactive maintenance.

Banff Community Plan receives final approval

Banff Mayor John Stutz has announced federal approval of the revised Banff Community Plan. The revised plan has met a series of conditions imposed by the Minister of the Environment to ensure the integrity of the Banff National Park Management Plan.

Banff Housing Corporation shareholders meet to review homeowners concerns
