YouBanff: Vote or Submit a Video

How to participate in YouBanff

Are you a Banff resident? Are you visiting Banff, or visited recently? Are you a friend of Banff?

If so, you are invited to create a video and submit it for inclusion in the YouBanff channel at YouTube™. Or just join in the fun by viewing the videos, rating and commenting on them.

Participating in YouBanff is easy:

1. create a YouTube account, if you don't already have one (it's free)
2. visit the YouBanff channel at YouTube
3. click subscribe to join the YouBanff channel
4. add YouBanff as a "Friend" if you like (see the "Connect with YouBanff area on the YouBanff channel)... this will allow us to send you bulletins about the contest from time to time
5. view the YouBanff videos that have already been submitted

Submitting your own video:

1. make your video... we suggest you keep it short, 3 or 4 minutes max, but you're the director so it's up to you
2. post your video to YouTube... include the word "YouBanff" in the title (like "YouBanff: my video"), and include "youbanff" "banff" and "contest" in the tags section
3. complete this brief entry form after you have posted your video
   

Ideas for Videos:

As long as the setting or subject is Banff or Banff National Park, pretty much anything goes. Just make sure it's legal.

Here are some possibilties:

• Funny Stuff: some people think our Dying to Visit Banff video is funny... or just browse around YouTube for a few minutes to find an idea
  

• Sightseeing:  your favourite spot in Banff National Park, a hike you love, some great scenic photos set to music
  

• Life in Banff
  

• Sports
  

• Outdoor Adventure
