Elk Street Traffic Light Update

 

The traffic lights at the intersection of Banff Avenue and Elk Street are in good working order once again.

A few months ago the traffic signal controller had recently been vandalized beyond repair, and required replacement. The Town ordered specialized equipment to complete the repair, which was installed in early November.

This new controller will use technology similar to the traffic light controllers at nearby Banff Avenue intersections. This will help improve the overall traffic flow in the downtown area by coordinating the signal lights at Elk Street with the other upgraded intersections.
