Santa's Anonymous Christmas Hamper Drive
Any donation is greatly appreciated
There are people right here in Banff, in our very own community, with empty stomachs, no food in their cupboards, hungry kids... and you can help.
Santa's Anonymous is a community-based program in Banff and Lake Louise, designed to help individuals and families in need during the Christmas season.
The local business community, volunteers, and the Santa's Anonymous committee are holding events throughout the area to raise awareness, funds and food donations for the 2007 Santa's Anonymous Campaign and Christmas Hamper Drive.
See our
Calendar of Events
for more information on these special events:
Auction & Dance at the Banff Legion
, Dec. 7
"Light It Up" at Ye Olde Christmas Tree
, Dec. 9
Skate With Santa "Food-Raiser,"
Dec. 16
As well, there are several donation opportunities and initiatives that are ongoing until December 19 (the donation deadline), including:
Fill-A-Bag... shop at Keller's and Safeway grocery stores in Banff to fill a brown paper bag with non-perishable food donations; you can also pick up a bag and/or donate at Banff Town Hall (110 Bear Street)
106.5 FM "Toy Mountain" Christmas Toy Drive... the goal is to make sure that every child in the Bow Valley has a present under the tree; donations of new, unwrapped toys are being accepted at Banff Town Hall (110 Bear Street)
Cozy Cave Bakehouse and Café Cookie Drive... support Santa's Anonymous by purchasing these beautiful and delicious Christmas cookies at Lululemon Athletica (121 Banff Ave.) (until Dec.9 only)
