Election day in Banff is Monday, October 18, 2010. Residents will have the opportunity to vote for:

• The Mayor of Banff
• Banff Town Councillors
• School Board Trustees (click here for more information about School Board Elections)
  

Who Will Run?

If you’ve been thinking about running for office, now’s the time to do some research and decide if this might be the right job for you.

• Information for Candidates

Potential candidates may begin campaigning any time.  Candidates aren’t officially in the race, though, until their nomination forms have been accepted on September 20, 2010.

Nomination day for all positions is Monday, September 20, 2010 from 10 a.m. until noon at Banff Town Hall.

 

Who Will Vote?

If you are a Canadian citizen, 18 years of age or older, a resident of Alberta for the six months before election day, and a resident of Banff on election day, you can vote.

Election day is Monday, October 18, 2010 between 10 a.m and 8 p.m. at Banff Town Hall.

There are several options for electors who find themselves unable to come Town Hall on election day.

• Advance elections
• Incapacitated voter at home
• Hospital voting station for patients
