Councillor Gibson was elected to his first term in 2007.

: Dr. Gibson holds the following degrees: BSc, DDS, and FADI. He has been a dentist for 35 years.
Family & Personal Interests:
John is married to Diane and has two children. He enjoys skiing, hiking, cooking, wines, and motorcycling.
Goals for 2009:
Work to finish social initiatives such as the Banff Code of Conduct. Promote more engagement between residents and businesses with the Mayor and Council. Explore saving options to save capital projects stressed by escalating costs. Continue to learn more of what it takes to make Banff the best it can be.
