Council priorities help guide the future of Banff.

Banff Town Council has adopted 4 priorities for 2010.  These priorities help guide Council’s budget decisions and are used to direct staff activity.

Ongoing Initiatives

As Council works through their third term, several projects, programs and initiatives are already in place. Council will continue to receive biweekly updates on:

Banff Community Plan

Annual priorities support the goals and objectives of the Banff Community Plan.  The 2007 Banff Community Plan outlines three ways to achieve the vision of our residents:

• Sense of Place:  our environmental goals, objectives and indicators for success
• Fostering a Healthy Community: our social and cultural goals, objectives and indicators for success
• Local Economy: our economic goals, objectives and indicators for success

Annual priorities also address the maintenance of our built infrastructure. 

Administrative Priorities

Administrative staff also set annual supplementary initiatives, which are undertaken in addition to regularly assigned duties and responsibilities.  The initiatives support the goals and objectives of the Banff Community Plan and address infrastructure and corporate priorities.  Administrative initiatives are updated quarterly.
