What staff accomplished:
The Town of Banff joined with Parks Canada and Alberta Environment to issue a request for proposals for a joint study on biosolids.
Grant applications have been submitted to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Green Municipal Fund and to Alberta Municipal Infrastructure Funding for recycling and solid waste initiatives.
An organics diversion trial is underway.
Rebate programs have been implemented for residents to claim partial reimbursement for energy audits and toilet replacement.

What staff accomplished:
A meeting between Bylaw Services, the RCMP, and downtown bars is schedule for the fall or early winter.
Parking
What staff accomplished:
A parking structure conceptual design is underway for the 200 block of Beaver Street. A report about the conceptual design is scheduled to go to council in November 2007.

What staff accomplished:
Hybrid transit buses are due for delivery in May 2008. An application for funding assistance for the buses has been submitted to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
A new transit operator has been selected.
A contractor has been hired to design and build a new transit barn and fleet shop in the operations compound.

What staff accomplished:
The bus wrap program was delayed until the arrival of the new transit buses in May 2008.
