Michiko arrived with the Town in 2007 on a one-year term in the role of accounts payable/receivable clerk. After a brief stint in
Planning and Development
we have been lucky enough to keep her on in this capacity, as a passion for numbers has kept Michiko excelling in the finance field for over 4 years.
Prior to honing her skills as a math whiz at the Town, Michiko held an eclectic variety of jobs in Banff ranging from an
ice fields tour guide
, to working in a
spa
.
Originally hailing from Japan, Michiko has chosen Banff to be her home for the past 11 years. Along with her husband Jeff, Michiko enjoys all the perks of living in Banff; especially with her new town bike ‘Daisy Duke’, purchased through our
Active Living Program
.
Michiko has recently embarked on a new journey in the world of numbers and is pursuing her Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation.
