Top 100 Employer
The Town of Banff is one of
Canada's Greenest Employers
We’re very excited that the Town of Banff has been named as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers for 2009.
This is a sub category in the Canada’s Top 100 Employers competition, so we were chosen based on information provided in our 2009 application for the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project.
“This special designation recognizes employers that are leaders in making environmental values part of their organizational culture. Winners of this competition have developed exceptional earth-friendly initiatives and are attracting employees and customers because of their environmental leadership.”
Visit the Canada's Top 100 site to find out why we were selected as
one of Canada's greenest employers
, along with some of the photographs we submitted with our Top 100 application.
Along with the great media exposure as a result of the McLean’s article, we are also now able to use the competition's official logo on our website and in recruitment advertising. This additional branding opportunity benefits us, as the Top 100 Employers is a well-recognized competition across Canada – and often is a significant factor influencing people’s career decisions.
We all can be proud of this accomplishment, as everyone’s efforts and activities from installing new organics bins to sourcing recycled paper towels to commuting to work on a bike contributes to our healthy workplace and heightened environmental awareness, and wouldn’t be possible without Council making this an
organizational priority
.
