Top Ten Reasons
(Why We Love Working for the Town of Banff)
The Liaison Committee is an employee group existing to represent all departments within the Town and focus on ways to make sure the Town of Banff remains a great place to work.
We've identified so many positive aspects of our workplace and what people like about coming to work that we are able to create a Top Ten List of Reasons We Love Being Townies. We spent time identifying the things that we value about being Townies, and realized the Town of Banff currently offers us some great perks that aren’t standard and may not be found elsewhere.
We're sharing this list for a few reasons:
to let the rest of the world know about the unique perks that come with working at the Town of Banff and why you would want to consider a career here
to remind us about the advantages of working here and find out what is important to each other
to get us thinking of ways to continue to make the Town the best place to work

Endless opportunities to make a noticeable difference - our work is meaningful!
Flexible work arrangements - it
is
possible to fit your toddler's needs or your workout schedule into your daily responsibilities--we make sure you achieve a healthy balance between life and work
A comprehensive benefits plan with quick claims processing
A non-hierarchical work environment - people are attached to their jobs, not their titles and work together to get results
Great social events, ranging from bbqs to Christmas parties. People take the initiative to organize fun activities and competitive teams, to support local races like Mountain Madness and 24 hours of Adrenalin.

A committed group of employees who really care about their community. This is especially noticeable with the significant projects we've undertaken to enhance services in and for our community - from Banff refreshing to the ROAM transit system to the new recreation centre about to begin construction.
Clothing that looks good - especially the bike jerseys.
Locals discounts, ranging from clothing and equipment shops to the Sulphur Mountain gondola.
A fun group of people to work and play with. Whether you love to fish or golf or hike or run or paddle or ski, and regardless of your ability, you'll always find someone with similar passions. Town employees are generous with their time, talent and gear and happy to share their love for this area.
