Fire Department
Banff's Fire Department is made up of 26 volunteer and three full-time members. They handle fire safety including structural fire prevention, fire protection and inspections, and manage the community's Fire Smart initiative.The department also:
- co-ordinates 911 emergency dispatch services within Banff National Park
- co-ordinates disaster services within the Town of Banff
- manages a public education program around fire safety every year during National Fire Prevention Week
