Current Budget

The Town of Banff is committed to responsible and accountable management of public funds. Both the Operating Budget and Capital Budget are set annually by Town Council in meetings open to the public.

Operating Budget

The Operating Budget covers the costs of running our municipality. This includes street maintenance, emergency services, recreation facilities and programs, visitor experience initiatives, transit and library services, just to mention a few.

Capital Budget

The Capital Budget is funded through transfers from the Operating Budget.  We identify a five-year plan for Capital which is approved annually by Council.

Quarterly Forecasts

Year to date and forecasts are presented to Council following the month-ends of March, June, and September.

Financial Plan

 The 2010 Financial Plan provides an outline of the financial system, the municipal budget process, financial principles and policies, and the Operating and Capital Budgets of the Town of Banff.
