Request for Proposals - Energy Consulting Services
The Town of Banff requests proposals from qualified entities to provide electricity and natural gas consulting and procurement services for its physical energy supply requirements. While the Town is currently part of the Alberta Municipal Services Corporation (AMSC) Energy Aggregation Program, it is now considering future options. The current energy provision contract is locked in until December 31, 2013. The Town shall determine the term of the consulting contract based on proposals received. The consulting contract will commence on March 5, 2012.Submission deadline: February 24, 2012

Request for Qualifications (RFQ)
Transportation Projects Consulting Services
The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to invite consultants to submit an expression of interest to undertake the 2012 Town Of Banff Transportation Projects. Generally, the Town of Banff's intent is to select a shortlist of three consultants for the transportation projects, based on the highest overall scores in the evaluation of the submissions. The Department may at its discretion, shortlist more, or less, than three consultants. Based on the review of the RFQ submissions, the Town of Banff intends to undertake an interview of the shortlisted candidates.
Respondents should obtain the RFQ document from the Alberta Purchasing Connection (APC)website so that Company contact information can be properly collected and retained for distribution on any addenda to the RFQ.

Town of Banff Purchasing Policy
Purchases of goods and services are made in accordance with the Town of Banff Purchasing Policy (PDF - 179 kb). All procurement activities shall meet the current and future needs of the Town of Banff, provide an economical and efficient service and provide fiscal responsibility and accountability.
In summary:
- Purchases under $2,500 may be made after receiving one or more verbal and written quotation.
- Purchases between $2,500 and $25,000 require three written quotations or proposals (where practical).
- Purchases over $25,000 require a written Request for Quotation, Request for Proposal or Invitation to Tender.
- Contractors have specific environmental responsibilities when working for the Town of Banff, and “green” options are welcomed / favoured.

Bids are evaluated based on a selection criteria outlined in the bid documents. Neither the lowest nor any bid may necessarily be accepted.
Bidders need to be aware of the conditions of the Purchasing Policy (
PDF - 179 kb) as well as any additional terms and conditions provided with the bid documents. Successful bidders may be required to possess a valid Town of Banff Business License and required to show proof of WCB coverage and insurance of not less than $2,000,000 naming the Town of Banff as co-insured.
