Banff National Park
The Rundle Range is one of Banff National Park's
many spectacular mountain settings
Banff National Park was the first national park established in Canada, and the third anywhere in the world. It spans 6,641 square kilometres (2,564 square miles) of valleys, mountains, glaciers, forests, meadows and rivers
Banff National Park is one of the world's premier holiday, heritage tourism and recreation destinations.
Banff is managed by the Parks Canada Agency, a branch of the Government of Canada. Parks Canada's role is to protect and present nationally significant examples of Canada's natural and cultural heritage.
