Banff is very busy during peak visitor seasons. As a result, parking in the downtown area is at a premium, particularly for larger vehicles such as buses and RVs.
Street parking and municipal parking lots are free, but there are time restrictions on most parking spaces in order to provide reasonable access for as many people as possible. There are also seasonal restrictions on the type of vehicles that may park in certain areas.
