Kris Irwin
Kris is an ACMG Apprentice Alpine Guide living and working in Banff. Since 2005 he has been actively pursuing his mountain guide certification climbing and skiing full-time in the wonderful Canadian Rockies. He enrolled in his first climbing course on a trip to Scotland in 2004 and instantly took an interest in all aspects of climbing outdoors in summer and winter. If he is not serving guests at the Banff Springs hotel, he will be in the mountains around his home enjoying time with like minded people and honing his skills. He looks forward to spending time in the mountains with you!
My name is Mark Klassen and I spent my first summer in Banff in 1984, sleeping on a friends apartment balcony on Muskrat Street. That was the first season I spent climbing and I've been climbing and skiing non-stop ever since. For many years I worked as a ski patroller in Jasper and Lake Louise, eventually becoming Snow Safety Supervisor at the Lake. In 1996 I became a fully certified ACMG/IFMGA Mountain Guide and since then I have been guiding full-time: heli-skiing and ski touring in the winters and rock and alpine climbing in the summers. I am the owner/operator of Corax Alpine Guides and look forward to spending time in the mountains with you!
