Camping
If you are planning to camp in the Town of Banff as a temporary form of accommodation, here is some important information to be aware of:- It is illegal to camp outside of designated camp grounds.
- You must purchase a camping permit and have a valid park pass to camp anywhere in the national park.
- The maximum length of stay is 14 days for most campgrounds.
- If you camp anywhere in the Town or in the Park without a camping permit, you will be fined and risk confiscation of your equipment.
- There are camp fire restrictions and alcohol restrictions in place in campgrounds.
