Outdoor Pursuits
Intermediate River Canoeing
Designed for those with lake canoeing experience who want to enhance their skills in moving water. Led by certified, local guides. They’ll help advance your paddling, communication, and rescue skills, all of which is essential for safe river canoe tripping. You will also learn how to enter and exit and eddy, navigate currents, and identify hazards above and below the water. This session is being offered as a part of Recreation and Parks Month.

Yoga in Spanish
The Town of Banff is offering Spanish Yoga in the Park this Summer. Join us for a yoga journey in the elements of nature as we will move through poses. These sessions will take place outdoors with instruction in Spanish.

Community Cleanup
Earth Day Community Clean Up
This Earth Day join the Town of Banff and Parks Canada as we pick up litter in our neighborhoods and in the national park. We will provide you with the necessary tools and an area to clean around your neighbourhood or in the park in an effort to clean as many spaces as possible. Join us after the cleanup for a community BBQ and storytime with the Banff Public Library. Household compost bins will also be available at the toolkit pick-up and drop-off. Register yourself, your family or as a household.
